Tinhof Noir 2022 0,75l

Tinhof Noir by Erwin Tinhof is a juicy red blend from Leithaberg in which Zweigelt plays the lead alongside Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. Organically farmed vineyards around Eisenstadt provide ripe yet cool fruit and an easy drinking style. On the nose you find cherry, cranberry and red berries, supported by peppery spice and a hint of dried herbs. On the palate the wine is medium bodied and vibrant, with a juicy core, soft approachable tannins and fresh acidity. Its bright fruit and gentle spice will appeal to lovers of Pinot Noir or Beaujolais while retaining clear Burgenland identity. Slightly chilled, Tinhof Noir is a highly versatile partner for Mediterranean dishes, poultry or relaxed evenings with friends.

Sixteen months in large wooden casks combine juicy cherry fruit with fine spice and taut structure.

Tinhof

On the slopes of the Leithagebirge, in Eisenstadt on Leithaberg, Erwin Tinhof continues a family line of eleven generations with one guiding principle: origin first. Native grapes—Neuburger, Weissburgunder, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent—are treated as the clearest translators of place....

The grape variety: Zweigelt

Zweigelt is Austria''s leading red grape, producing cherry-scented wines with soft tannins, fresh acidity and gentle spice. It is a crossing of Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

The variety is appealing because it is juicy, versatile and food-friendly. Pair Zweigelt with roast chicken, pork, schnitzel, burgers, mushrooms and mild cheeses.
