Amancio from Sierra Cantabria is an iconic Tempranillo sourced from selected single vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. The grapes come from old, low-yielding vines and are harvested carefully by hand. On the nose it reveals concentrated aromas of black fruits, plum, fine spices and noble oak. On the palate Amancio is dense, silky and very precise, with ripe tannins, mineral depth and an impressively long finish. Its powerful yet elegant style makes it a great Rioja for special occasions and extended ageing. A striking flagship wine that unites the tradition of Rioja with a refined, contemporary expression.
Ageing for 24 months in new French oak gives the Rioja depth, power, and distinctive dark spice.
