Benanti Contrada Rinazzo 2023 Etna doc bianco Superiore, 0,75l

BrandBenanti
RegionEurope - Italy - Sicily
CategoryWines - White wine

Benanti Contrada Rinazzo Etna DOC Bianco Superiore comes from the high-altitude Contrada Rinazzo near Milo on Etna’s eastern slope, where old Carricante vines grow in poor, sandy volcanic soils. The cool, maritime-influenced microclimate produces particularly taut, saline white wines. The nose offers notes of lemon, grapefruit and green apple alongside hints of anise, white flowers and flint. On the palate the wine is linear, focused and highly mineral, with bright, racy acidity and a distinct salty edge. Extended lees ageing lends a gentle, creamy texture without sacrificing tension. The finish is long and cool, evoking citrus zest, Mediterranean herbs and wet stone. A serious Etna Bianco Superiore with fine ageing potential, perfect with oysters, shellfish, noble fish dishes or refined vegetable and lemon-based risottos.
