Cantina Beato Bartolomeo da Breganze Savardo Merlot,Breganze Superiore doc. 2022 0,75l

Grown on the volcanic slopes around Breganze, this Merlot from the Savardo estate is matured in large oak casks. The combination of hillside terroir and traditional ageing results in a dense yet elegant profile. On the nose, aromas of dark berries, blackberry and red fruit are joined by hints of liquorice, herbs and polished oak. The palate is full-bodied and well structured, offering ripe fruit, harmonious oak spice and supple but present tannins. A subtle mineral streak adds tension and carries the flavours into a long, warming finish. This characterful Merlot pairs beautifully with braised meats, rich pasta dishes or aged hard cheeses.

Ageing in large oak casks rounds out the Merlot and combines fruit, fullness, and fine spice.
