| Chapoutier Ermitage rouge Le Méal – An experience for true connoisseurs | |
| M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Méal Rouge comes from a warm mid-slope vineyard on the Hermitage hill where stony pebbles and sand help ripen syrah to great concentration. Old vines farmed biodynamically deliver small, intensely flavoured berries that are aged in oak for additional depth. The bouquet opens with blackberry jam, black cherry and blueberries, wrapped in smoke, licorice, dried herbs and hints of orange peel. On the palate Le Méal is full-bodied, velvety and powerful, with layered ripe tannins and a long, mouth-coating finish. The combination of richness, minerality and precision makes it a benchmark Hermitage to pour with braised beef, lamb, game and rich mushroom dishes. | |

In Northern Rhône, the Maison M. Chapoutier has shaped the Côtes du Rhône Nord since 1808—then rewrote its modern chapter in 1990 when Michel Chapoutier took the helm. Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....more from M.Chapoutier
