M.Chapoutier Hermitage rouge La Sizeranne 2019 0,75l

M. Chapoutier Hermitage Rouge La Sizeranne blends several key Hermitage terroirs, including Les Bessards, Le Méal and Les Greffieux, and is made entirely from syrah. Hand-harvesting and ageing in oak barrels yield a wine that marries concentration with elegance. The bouquet shows raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry alongside licorice, pepper and floral hints. On the palate La Sizeranne is round, supple and structured, with fine, ripe tannins and lively acidity. A persistent, spicy finish marked by red fruit and black pepper notes makes it a versatile Hermitage. It pairs beautifully with grilled or braised beef, lamb, game birds and savoury vegetable dishes.

The wine ages for 18 months, 85 percent of it in oak barrels, supporting red fruit, spice and an elegant tannin structure.

M.Chapoutier

In Northern Rhône, the Maison M. Chapoutier has shaped the Côtes du Rhône Nord since 1808—then rewrote its modern chapter in 1990 when Michel Chapoutier took the helm. Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....
