M.Chapoutier Saint Joseph blanc Granilites 2019 0,75l

M. Chapoutier Saint-Joseph Blanc Granilites comes from steep, granite-based slopes in the northern Rhône. Organically farmed marsanne is hand-harvested to preserve tension and purity. The bouquet offers citrus, pear and orchard apple with smoky, flinty notes and delicate florals. On the palate Granilites is medium-bodied, combining a creamy texture with vibrant, mineral-driven acidity. The silky mouthfeel and fresh, gently saline finish give both charm and ageing potential. A refined northern Rhône white to pair with roasted fish, shellfish, poultry, veal and aromatic vegetable dishes. With a few years of bottle age it gains additional layers of toast, nuts and savoury depth.

Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....

The grape variety: Marsanne

Marsanne is a Rhône white grape that produces full-bodied wines with pear, almond, honeyed notes and a rounded, sometimes waxy texture.

It is especially appealing with roast poultry, seafood in creamy sauces, mushrooms and mature cheeses. Marsanne
