M.Chapoutier Saint Joseph rouge Le Clos 2019 0,75l

M. Chapoutier Saint-Joseph Rouge Le Clos comes from a walled single vineyard planted with old syrah on poor granite and schist slopes. Biodynamic farming and hand-harvesting yield grapes of remarkable concentration and purity. The bouquet is deep and complex, showing blackberry, cassis and dark cherry with black olives, tapenade, violets, pepper and smoky mineral notes. On the palate Le Clos is dense, silky and highly precise, with powerful yet finely grained tannins and vibrant freshness. The very long, salty and spicy finish gives the wine great nobility. It is an outstanding Saint-Joseph to pour with fine cuts of beef, lamb, game birds and dishes accented with truffle.

M.Chapoutier

In Northern Rhône, the Maison M. Chapoutier has shaped the Côtes du Rhône Nord since 1808—then rewrote its modern chapter in 1990 when Michel Chapoutier took the helm. Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....
