M.Chapoutier Saint Peray Lieu-dit Hongrie 2019 0,75l

M. Chapoutier Saint-Péray Lieu-dit Hongrie is a distinctive white made from pure marsanne grown on limestone and granite slopes near the village of Saint-Péray. Biodynamic farming and hand-harvesting deliver ripe, concentrated grapes. The bouquet shows white peach, pear and yellow apple alongside fennel, anise, honeyed blossom and hints of brioche and toast. On the palate the wine opens with freshness before becoming dense and creamy, supported by discreet oak spice and gentle roasted notes. A long finish with subtle aniseed and saline nuances adds complexity. This refined Saint-Péray is ideal with scallops, noble fish, sauced poultry and flavourful vegetable cuisine.

Biodynamic farming, living soils and meticulous parcel work define their steep slopes from Hermitage to Saint‑Joseph and Cornas, on granite, rolled stones and clay‑limestone seams....

The grape variety: Marsanne

Marsanne is a Rhône white grape that produces full-bodied wines with pear, almond, honeyed notes and a rounded, sometimes waxy texture.

It is especially appealing with roast poultry, seafood in creamy sauces, mushrooms and mature cheeses. Marsanne
