Ch. Bellevue Saint-Émilion: The Essence of True Craftsmanship
Château Bellevue sits on the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, next to illustrious neighbours such as Angélus. Its small vineyard is planted mainly with Merlot and a share of Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils that give ripe fruit and a marked mineral edge. In the cellar each plot is fermented in concrete vats before ageing in French oak barrels. The bouquet reveals ripe black cherry, blackberry and plum, joined by violet, graphite and subtle toasted notes. On the palate the wine is powerful yet silky, with tight-knit, ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long, savoury, mineral finish – a characterful Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé built to age.
