Château Camensac Haut Medoc 5cc. 2016 0,75l

Château Camensac is a 5th Growth estate in the Haut-Médoc, situated just inland from Saint-Julien. Its roughly 75 hectares of vines are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on deep gravel slopes laid down by the Garonne. The estate follows sustainable practices, harvesting by hand and vinifying each plot separately before ageing in oak. The bouquet offers blackcurrant, blackberry and plum with cedar, graphite and subtle toasty notes. On the palate Château Camensac is firmly structured yet refined, with ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long, savoury finish that reflects its gravelly terroir.

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
