Château Grand Puy Ducasse

Château Grand Puy Ducasse Pauillac 5cc. 2014 0,75l

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a classified Pauillac estate with about forty hectares of vines rooted in deep gravel and sand over clay. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a touch of Petit Verdot, giving both power and spicy complexity. Parcels scattered among illustrious neighbours such as Lafite, Mouton and Pontet-Canet underline the class of the terroir. The bouquet reveals cassis, black cherry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar and graphite. On the palate Grand-Puy Ducasse is firm and upright yet not rustic, showing ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long, slightly smoky Pauillac finish.

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
