Château Grand Puy Lacoste Pauillac 5cc. 2021 0,75l
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a 5th Growth Pauillac estate with 63 hectares of vines on a hill of deep, large-grained gravel. The vineyard is planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon, completed by Merlot and a little Cabernet Franc, giving a classically structured, age-worthy wine. Hand-harvesting, plot-by-plot vinification and long ageing in French oak underline finesse and precision. The bouquet shows cassis, blackberry and black cherry alongside cedar, tobacco and graphite. On the palate Grand-Puy-Lacoste is concentrated yet silky, with finely etched tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, noble Pauillac finish.
In Pauillac, Château Grand‑Puy‑Lacoste is counted among the Médoc’s oldest domains, with ownership lines documented back to the 16th century. Classified in 1855 as a Fifth Growth, it entered a decisive modern chapter in 1978 when the Borie family took over, restoring the estate while preserving its original spirit....
