| Rigoleto Montecucco Rosso from Colle Massari is the estate’s approachable red blend of sangiovese, ciliegiolo and montepulciano. Grapes from organically farmed vineyards on the slopes of Monte Amiata are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to capture bright fruit. Part of the wine then ages in wood while the rest remains in tank, preserving freshness and drinkability. The bouquet shows red and dark berries, dried plum and wild strawberries with hints of clove and menthol. On the palate Rigoleto is medium-bodied, soft and inviting, with silky tannins and lively acidity. Its juicy, spice-accented finish makes it an ideal everyday red for pasta, wood-fired pizza, grilled meats and casual sharing plates. | |
