| Langhe Bianco Prinsipi from Conterno Fantino is an elegant blend based mainly on chardonnay with a share of manzoni bianco. Vines on limestone hills around Monforte d'Alba are farmed organically and yield grapes of great freshness. After gentle pressing the must ferments in stainless steel and the wine spends several months on fine lees, gaining creaminess and depth. The bouquet offers citrus, yellow apple and white flowers with hints of herbs, mandarin and wet stone. On the palate Prinsipi is bright, precise and finely textured, supported by lively acidity and a delicate, creamy feel. The long, saline, mineral finish makes it a highly versatile white for aperitif, seafood, fish dishes, risotto and refined vegetable cuisine. | |
