Domaine de Labruyère Moulin à Vent Coeur de Terroirs 2016 0,75l
Domaine de Labruyère’s Moulin-à-Vent Coeur de Terroirs is sourced from old-vine gamay rooted in granite soils streaked with quartz. Grapes are hand-harvested. The nose is deep and expressive, offering blackberries, black cherries and red berry notes alongside liquorice, smoky hints, spice and violets. On the palate the wine is dense and juicy yet refined, with supple, refreshing tannins and lively acidity giving precision and length. Flavours of red fruits, sweet spice and a touch of dark chocolate echo the stony mineral backbone of the terroir. A structured and ageworthy Moulin-à-Vent that pairs wonderfully with charcuterie, poultry with mushrooms, braised veal or seared beef.
Ageing in oak barrels and demi-muids followed by concrete maturation combines juicy fruit with elegant structure.
