Trénel Côte de Brouilly 2024 0,75l

Trénel’s Côte de Brouilly is a characterful Gamay from the steep, sun‑drenched slopes of Mont Brouilly. In the glass it shows a deep ruby colour with bright purple glints. The nose is packed with raspberry, blueberry and plum, lifted by hints of green pepper and flinty, smoky tones. On the palate the wine is both fruity and spicy, with fine tannins, good structure and a supple, juicy finish. The interplay of ripe fruit, cool minerality and elegant spice clearly reflects the volcanic terroir of the cru. A versatile Beaujolais cru that pairs beautifully with boeuf bourguignon, duck or richly flavoured vegetable dishes.

The grape variety: Gamay

Gamay is a red grape best known from Beaujolais, producing light to medium-bodied wines with red berries, floral aromas, soft tannins and refreshing acidity.

It is excellent with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork, mushrooms and casual dishes, especially when served slightly chilled. Gamay
