The nose reveals ripe strawberry, black cherry and raspberry supported by notes of garrigue, licorice, chocolate and warm spices. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense and warmly textured, with powerful yet polished tannins and great concentration. A long, savory, slightly saline finish underlines its class and ageing potential. It shines alongside lamb, game, richly sauced beef and elaborate festive dishes. | |
