Tosca Grauburgunder from Ewald Zweytick is a barrique-aged Pinot Gris from southern Styria that presents the variety in an opulent yet finely structured style. The bouquet offers ripe yellow apple, Williams pear and quince alongside dried herbs, toasted notes, nuts and a touch of caramel. On the palate Tosca is full-bodied, creamy and dense, with considerable power, ripe acidity and a long, spicy, mineral-tinged finish. Barrel ageing adds complexity and a very polished texture. A distinctive food wine that pairs beautifully with veal, poultry, flavoursome fish, risotto or mushroom-based dishes.
