| Faiveley Mazis Chambertin – The Essence of True Craftsmanship | |
| Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Faiveley is one of the estate’s most powerful and expressive reds. Vines grow on stony, limestone based soils in one of Gevrey Chambertin’s most highly regarded sites. The bouquet is intense, showing black cherry, dark berries, violets and refined spice. On the palate the Pinot Noir is deep, layered and yet silk textured, with plenty of energy and drive. Fine grained, ripe tannins and lively acidity create an impressive framework. The very long finish is shaped by mineral notes and spicy dark fruit. A superb grand cru for game dishes, slow cooked beef or flavourful hard cheeses. | |
