Riesling Ried Loibenberg from F.X. Pichler originates in one of the Wachau’s most famous, sun drenched terraced vineyards with poor primary rock soils. The nose shows ripe apricot and peach, hints of tropical fruit, smoky herbal spice and a touch of wet stone. On the palate the wine is concentrated and intense, with succulent stone fruit, firm acidity and a striking, salty minerality. The texture is powerful yet extremely precise and transparent. A very long, spicy mineral finish underlines the grandeur of this site and makes the Riesling a great match for fine fish dishes, shellfish or sophisticated cuisine.
Ageing in large oak casks underlines the depth of the Riesling without masking its mineral precision.
