Gruner Veltliner Loss from Hiedler is the gateway wine of the estate and captures the juicy, approachable side of this classic Austrian grape. The vines grow on deep loess soils around Langenlois, which lend gentle spice and inviting texture. The bouquet shows notes of green apple, honeydew, grapefruit peel and a touch of white pepper. On the palate the wine is bright and fruit driven, with lively acidity and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. A delicate mineral impression adds definition and keeps the finish clean and refreshing. It is an all round partner for light starters, white meat, seasonal vegetables or a simple plate of cold cuts, bringing the character of Kamptal clearly to the fore.

After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matured for four months on the lees, preserving clear fruit and fine texture.
