Hugel Grossi Laüe Riesling 2016 0,75l

Grossi Laue Riesling from Famille Hugel is sourced from the finest parts of the Schoenenbourg hillside, rooted in marly limestone soils. The bouquet is pure and vibrant, with aromas of green apple, lemon balm, citrus peel, ginger and spring flowers over a flinty backdrop. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet tightly woven, delivering juicy citrus, salty minerality and a firm, racy line of acidity. Layers of herbal spice and stone build with each sip. The finish is long, dry and refreshingly cool. A serious Riesling with excellent ageing potential, perfect for refined fish, shellfish or vegetable based dishes.

Slow fermentation in temperature-controlled, centuries-old oak fuders, followed by fine lees ageing and several years of cellar maturation.

The grape variety: Riesling

Riesling is a noble white grape famous for citrus fruit, stone fruit, floral notes and vibrant acidity. It can be dry, off-dry, sparkling or beautifully sweet.

Its freshness makes it ideal with seafood, pork, spicy Asian cuisine, cheeses and desserts. Riesling is one of the most expressive and versatile white wine grapes. Riesling
