Hugel Vendange Tardive Riesling 2013 0,75l

Riesling Vendange Tardive from Famille Hugel is a late harvest wine that combines ripe fruit sweetness with the grape s natural tension. Grapes from steep slopes around Riquewihr develop notes of candied citrus peel, lime, baked apple, acacia honey and a hint of botrytis smoke. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet finely chiselled, with vibrant acidity cutting through the richness. Citrus and stone fruit flavours are joined by herbal and mineral nuances that linger on the finish. This Riesling is a superb match for spicy dishes, blue cheese or fruit based desserts and has excellent ageing potential. It captures a clear sense of origin while remaining graceful and deeply expressive.

After gentle pressing, the Riesling ferments temperature-controlled in barrels or tanks and then matures extensively in the cellars.
