Huguenot Marsannay rouge Cuvee Heritage 2023 0,75l

This red Marsannay draws its character from a blend of Pinot Noir parcels across the northern Côte de Nuits. Vines over fifty years old grow mainly on fossil-bearing limestone, with touches of marl and gravel. Selectively hand-harvested grapes are aged in oak and later rested in stainless steel. Redcurrant, sour cherry and strawberry lead the bouquet, edged with gentle sweet spice. The fruit remains vivid and precise despite the wine's generous, powerful entry. A long, supple finish brings the structure into harmony. Roast beef, steak with shallots or mature cow's milk cheese all suit its lively yet substantial style.

The purchase of a plot in Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru in 1967 marked a defining chapter. Now guided by Valérie and Philippe Huguenot, the estate views each climat as an individual expression of its Burgundian origins....
