Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncière by La Commaraine is deep ruby in colour and unites intensity with real finesse. The nose offers dark cherries, forest berries, vanilla, cedar and sweet spice from careful barrel ageing. On the palate the wine is powerful and concentrated yet silky, with fine-grained tannins and well-integrated oak. Lively acidity brings freshness and highlights the cool, mineral side of the terroir. The long finish returns dark fruit, herbs and a hint of cocoa. A complex Premier Cru for mature beef, game and mushroom dishes.
