Faiveley Mercurey 1c.Clos du Roy La Favorite 2023 0,75l

Mercurey Premier Cru Le Clos du Roy La Favorite is a special plot selection within the renowned Clos du Roy vineyard. Vines rooted in south and south‑west facing clay‑limestone and marl soils give Pinot Noir of striking aromatic intensity. The bouquet offers dark cherry, blackcurrant and small red berries wrapped in pepper, clove and a hint of refined toast. On the palate the wine is full‑bodied and concentrated yet finely detailed, with tightly woven tannins and lively, well‑integrated acidity. A long, spicy, complex finish makes La Favorite an excellent match for truffled poultry, veal, lamb or grilled meats.

Fifteen months in French oak barrels supports red fruit, spice notes and aromatic length.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
