Gemischter Satz Braitenpuechtorff by Ingrid Groiss comes from old mixed vineyards around Breitenwaida where many white varieties grow side by side. In the glass it shines a pale straw yellow, releasing aromas of greengage, juicy pear, yellow apple, white blossom, gentle nutmeg spice and a hint of herbs. On the palate the wine is fresh, juicy and layered, with lively acidity, fine fruit and subtle, smoky minerality. Each sip reveals new nuances that highlight the character of a traditional field blend. The finish is mouthwatering, fruity and pleasantly spicy. A highly versatile partner for classic heuriger dishes, vegetable based cuisine, fish and white meat.
