Hauswein Gruner Veltliner by Ingrid Groiss captures the straightforward freshness of the Weinviertel in an easy drinking style. Grapes from cool sites around Breitenwaida and Haugsdorf are farmed with great care and minimal intervention. The bouquet offers notes of green apple, citrus, juicy pear and a touch of blossom honey over gentle herbal spice. On the palate the wine is dry, lively and precise, with crisp fruit, the variety s signature peppery kick and a slender texture. Subtle stony minerality adds extra grip and drinkability. The finish is mouthwatering, citrus driven and lightly spicy. A friendly house wine for classic Viennese dishes, fried chicken, salads and relaxed get togethers.
