Joseph Perrier Champagne Brut Cuvée Josephine 2014 1,5l in gift box
Champagne Brut Cuvée Josephine by Joseph Perrier is the house prestige cuvée, marrying generous depth with refined elegance. In the glass it shines golden with copper tints and a fine, persistent bead. The bouquet reveals white flowers, ripe pear, pale stone fruit and aromas of toasted hazelnut, brioche and delicate spice. On the palate the Champagne is silky, layered and powerful, carried by precise acidity and chalky minerality. The structure is dense yet weightless, giving a dancing, airy impression. The finish is very long, noble and complex. A great celebration Champagne for fine fish, shellfish, refined poultry dishes and elaborate menus.
Beneath the chalk flank of Châlons‑en‑Champagne, Joseph Perrier—founded in 1825—matures in Gallo‑Roman galleries, three kilometres long, lit by shafts carved through the craie, a natural ventilation system before electricity. What is “vintage” above becomes patience below: cool, humid, built for long sur‑lattes years....

The grape variety: Chardonnay
Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.
It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex.
