Joseph Perrier Champagne Brut Vintage 2008 0,75l

Champagne Brut Vintage Cuvée Royale by Joseph Perrier is sourced from selected sites in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay spends extended time in the historic chalk cellars beneath Châlons en Champagne. The bouquet reveals white flowers, pale peach, quince, candied citrus peel and a hint of honey, layered with brioche and gentle spice. On the palate the vintage Champagne is rich, creamy and bright, with ripe yellow fruit and lively acidity. Precise chalky minerality adds depth and tension. The texture is silky and refined, leading to a long, layered and noble finish. A celebratory Brut Vintage for fine fish, shellfish, poultry and elaborate menus.

Long lees ageing gives the vintage Champagne mature depth, creamy texture and complex fruit and citrus notes.

Joseph Perrier

Beneath the chalk flank of Châlons‑en‑Champagne, Joseph Perrier—founded in 1825—matures in Gallo‑Roman galleries, three kilometres long, lit by shafts carved through the craie, a natural ventilation system before electricity. What is “vintage” above becomes patience below: cool, humid, built for long sur‑lattes years....

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
