Pinot Meunier
Pinot Meunier is a red grape variety from the Burgundy family and is best known as one of the three classic Champagne grape varieties. Alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it brings fruit, roundness and early accessibility to many Champagnes.Typical aromas include red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, apple, fine spice and sometimes slightly floral or earthy notes. Outside Champagne, Pinot Meunier can also be found as a still red wine or rosé, including in Germany under the name Schwarzriesling.
