Knoll Grüner Veltliner Kreutles Federspiel 2025 0,75l

Gruner Veltliner Ried Kreutles Federspiel from Weingut Knoll is grown in the Loiben basin at the gateway to the Wachau on Danube sediments and loess soils. The bouquet offers yellow apple, pear, citrus, fresh herbs and a delicate peppery twist. On the palate the wine is crisp, finely fruited and precise, carried by lively acidity and moderate alcohol. A hint of creaminess merges with cool, stony freshness to create a very drinkable mid weight style. The finish is spicy, refreshing and subtly saline. A benchmark Wachau white to pour with fried chicken, river fish, light pork dishes and aromatic vegetable cuisine.

Oak-barrel ageing adds subtle structure to this Federspiel without masking its fresh, mineral character.

As a member of Vinea Wachau, the house helped define what classic Wachau can be....
