| Discover the character of Kollwentz Gloria Chardonnay | |
| Gloria Chardonnay is grown in the highest single vineyard of the Leithagebirge, on limestone and shelly marl soils rich in minerals. Slow ripening in this elevated, cool site leads to small, intensely flavoured berries. The wine is fermented and aged in oak and rests for several months on the lees, gaining depth and a creamy texture. On the nose, ripe yellow fruit, citrus zest and fine smokiness meet hints of spice and herbs. The palate is dense, silky and focused, carried by lively acidity and a distinct chalky saltiness. Gloria pairs beautifully with seafood, fine fish dishes, creamy pasta or elegant poultry cuisine. | |

The place is steeped in time—top sites such as Steinzeiler and Tatschler appear in records as early as 1569/1570, and the family’s documented story at the Römerhof reaches back to 1775....more from Kollwentz
