Kollwentz Steinmühle Sauvignon blanc 2023 0,75l

Sauvignon Blanc Steinmühle from Kollwentz comes from the eponymous vineyard with poor flint and gravel soils where the vines root deeply. The mix of Leithagebirge freshness and pannonian warmth produces small, highly aromatic berries. On the nose, elderflower, gooseberry and citrus meet herbal notes and smoky minerality. The palate is taut, juicy and precise, driven by vibrant acidity and a salty, cooling finish. Maturation in large wooden casks adds texture without masking varietal character. A versatile partner for fish, aromatic cuisine or finely seasoned vegetable dishes.

The place is steeped in time—top sites such as Steinzeiler and Tatschler appear in records as early as 1569/1570, and the family’s documented story at the Römerhof reaches back to 1775....
