Moric NR2 Somló HT Moric feat.Tamas Kis 2021 0,75l

Moric NR2 Somló HT is a joint project with Tamas Kis, sourced from volcanic slopes on the Somló hill in western Hungary. In the glass it shines pale green-gold and opens with aromas of apple, pear and quince, layered with fresh herbs and a touch of anise. On the palate the wine is taut, pure and finely chiselled, showing yellow stone fruit, hints of pineapple and subtle spice. Lively acidity and a salty, stony minerality provide drive and precision. The texture is silky yet firm, leading into a long, herbal and mouthwatering finish. A distinctive mineral white that pairs beautifully with grilled fish, asparagus and light vegetable dishes.

The grape variety: Furmint

Furmint is a high-acid white grape best known from Tokaj, producing dry, off-dry and sweet wines with quince, citrus, apricot and mineral notes.

It pairs with poultry, pork, fish, mushrooms, spicy dishes and, in sweet styles, blue cheese or desserts.
