Moric Blaufränkisch Ried Maissner Lutzmannsburg 2021 0,75l

Moric Blaufränkisch Ried Maissner Lutzmannsburg is rooted in clay and loam soils that give the wine depth and an earthy profile. The bouquet opens with dark berries and wild forest fruit, joined by black cherry, olives, juniper and balsamic notes, plus hints of dark chocolate and fine tea. On the palate it is compact, concentrated and fresh, with firm, ripe tannins and impressive grip. The fruit is dense but never heavy, carried by a cool, savoury mineral edge. Vibrant acidity underlines the structure and points to significant ageing potential. The long finish echoes blackberries, cocoa and herbs, making this a powerful single-vineyard Blaufränkisch for roasted meats, game and hearty vegetarian cuisine.

The grape variety: Blaufränkisch

Blaufränkisch is a Central European red grape known for dark cherry, pepper, fresh acidity and structured tannins. It is especially important in Austria and Hungary.

The grape is exciting because it combines elegance with savoury spice. Pair Blaufränkisch with duck, pork, lamb, goulash, mushrooms, sausages and hard cheeses.
