Domaine de la Commaraine Pommard 1c. Clos de la Commaraine Monopole 2023 0,75l
Pommard 1er Cru Clos de la Commaraine Monopole from La Commaraine originates in a historic single vineyard that encircles the château like an amphitheatre. Farmed biodynamically, this north-side site produces unusually refined, silky Pommard. The bouquet shows dark berries, plum, violet, earth and a touch of leather. On the palate the Pinot Noir is powerful yet aristocratically elegant, with dense but ripe tannins and precise acidity. The interplay of depth, spice and minerality promises excellent ageing potential. A classic partner for game, duck breast or slow-braised beef.
Behind the walls of Pommard in Burgundy, Domaine de la Commaraine guards a rare jewel: a 3.63‑hectare Premier Cru Clos in monopole, wrapped around an old château and its gardens....
The Great Vertical Tasting: A wine through the mirror of time.
Anyone who compares wine across several vintages discovers its development in a particularly impressive way. A vertical tasting reveals how style, maturity, structure and aromas change over time – and helps to find the right vintage for personal taste or a special occasion.
The grape variety: Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.
It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin.
