La Quinta Essencia dels Llops Destillat de lies de Clos Mogador is a rare fine spirit from Priorat. It is made by carefully distilling the lees of a great estate white wine, concentrating its most subtle components. The bouquet suggests ripe yellow fruit, pastry, nuts and wild Mediterranean herbs. On the palate the spirit is dense, warm and layered, with hints of dried fruit, toasted tones and a gentle salinity. The long, spicy finish recalls the schist soils of its origin. Best enjoyed neat in a small tasting glass as a contemplative digestif after an elaborate meal. A few drops go a long way, so pour sparingly and take your time.
