Manyetes Priorat 2022 0,75l

Manyetes Priorat is a profound red wine from steep slate terraces near Gratallops, produced mainly from the Cariñena grape. Vines struggle in the dark licorella soils and yield only small amounts of intensely flavoured fruit. The nose is complex, with dried plum, ripe blackberry, cherry, graphite, vanilla and dark roasted notes. On the palate the wine is dense and velvety, with precise, silky tannins and great tension between mineral depth and richness. Flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and a touch of warm spice echo through the long, forceful finish. A serious Priorat for special occasions and hearty Mediterranean inspired dishes.

Ageing in large 600-litre casks followed by maturation in demijohn frames the spicy Priorat fruit with calm structure.
