Liegenfeld Chardonnay Vogelsang 2021 0,75l

Liegenfeld Chardonnay Vogelsang comes from slate-influenced slopes on the Leithaberg and combines generous Burgenland fruit with a cool, stony backbone. The bouquet shows ripe apple and pear, hints of mandarin zest and a touch of blossom honey. On the palate the wine is juicy and well balanced, with a creamy texture and finely woven acidity. Mineral notes from the schist soils lend grip and precision. Despite its substance, the Chardonnay remains elegant and focused. It is a versatile food partner, pairing beautifully with poultry, roasted fish or creamy pasta dishes. A short time in a large glass lets its gentle spice and minerality unfold fully.

The Chardonnay Vogelsang 2021 was aged for six months in stainless steel tanks.

Liegenfeld

At the foot of the Leithagebirge in Donnerskirchen, Liegenfeld turns Pannonian sunshine and the breeze off Lake Neusiedl into wines with definition. Slate and shell limestone shape the sites—think Himmelreich, Hopferberg or Goldberg—adding a cool mineral line that keeps energy even in warm vintages....

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex.
