Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva from Monte Faustino represents the estate’s most long-lived expression. Extended ageing adds extra depth and complexity. The bouquet is rich and layered, with dried cherry, plum, dark berries and herbs, supported by notes of tobacco, cocoa, coffee and fine oak. On the palate the wine is extremely concentrated, warm and firmly structured, with powerful yet ripe tannins. Lively acidity balances the opulence and leads into a very long, spicy and balsamic finish. This is a serious Riserva Amarone for special occasions, pairing beautifully with roasted game, slow-cooked meats and aged cheeses.
Four years in large oak casks and barriques give this Riserva impressive density, spice and mature oak notes.
