La Vendimia from Palacios Remondo is a vibrant young Rioja that marries Garnacha and Tempranillo in an easy-drinking style. The nose is packed with juicy cherry and raspberry, violet tones and a touch of liquorice and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, lively and fruit-driven, with gentle tannins and refreshing acidity. Delicate notes of spice and citrus zest add extra lift. The texture is smooth and approachable, yet retains enough grip to stay serious at the table. Its fresh, moderately long finish makes La Vendimia an ideal partner for tapas, tomato-based pasta, grilled chicken or weekday barbecues.
