Petit-Roy Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune rouge 2018 0,75l

Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge from Petit-Roy is sourced from cool, higher-altitude sites and delivers a fragrant yet serious style of Pinot Noir. The nose offers red cherry, rosehip and cranberry alongside dried herbs, fennel and a hint of forest floor. On the palate the wine is juicy and tense, with fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and gentle spice. Red berries, pomegranate, a touch of smoke and earthy nuances add complexity. The texture is slender and silky, leading to an invigorating, slightly saline finish. Serve lightly chilled with poultry, charcuterie, mushroom dishes or a selection of cheeses.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
