Petrus from Pomerol is one of the world’s most revered Merlot-based wines, grown on the famous blue clay plateau at the heart of the appellation. The bouquet is intensely perfumed, with layers of dark berries, blueberry and plum, intertwined with violet, truffle, graphite and fine spice. On the palate it is both velvety and powerful, showing great depth, silky yet authoritative tannins and remarkable purity of fruit. Flavours of cassis, black cherry, cocoa and a touch of mint linger on the long, harmonious finish. Petrus is a wine for special occasions, pairing beautifully with refined meat dishes or simply enjoyed on its own with time and air.

Around 18 months in French oak gives this Pomerol depth, structure and a noble matured character.
