This Pommard Premier Cru comes from Les Rugiens-Bas, a steep site of stony, iron-rich red soil with limestone close to the surface. Pinot Noir from vines more than 30 years old, farmed with organic practices, gives the wine a strong sense of place. Whole clusters, indigenous yeast and ageing in barrel followed by stainless steel preserve lift and definition. Raspberry, wild strawberry, blood orange and violet mingle with herbs, smoke and crushed stone. The palate combines power with precision, firm tannins and a long, savoury mineral finish. Its structure is an excellent match for beef, lamb, game birds or pungent Époisses. Choose it at Vinofant for a serious Burgundy that brings distinction to an ambitious dinner or cellar.
