Dominio de Pingus Flor de Pingus,Ribera del Duero 2020 1,5l
Flor de Pingus from Ribera del Duero is the expressive second wine of Dominio de Pingus, crafted entirely from Tempranillo. The nose is perfumed and intense, with plum, red and black cherries and wild berries, joined by floral tones, a touch of peach skin, dried herbs and chalky minerality. On the palate it is silky yet vibrant, offering ripe but not heavy fruit, glossy tannins and a precise line of acidity. Notes of raspberry, blackberry, subtle oak spice and earth unfold towards a dry, slightly chalky finish. A refined, characterful Ribera that shines with lamb, grilled beef or richly seasoned vegetable dishes.
Across the stark high plains of Ribera del Duero, Dominio de Pingus in La Horra pursues precision like a creed: old Tinto Fino parcels—Barroso and San Cristóbal—sit above 800 metres, rooted in calcareous layers, gravel and clay slopes that keep the fruit taut. Tiny yields, hand harvesting, severe selection and biodynamic farming translate site into structure, not spectacle, year after year....

The grape variety: Tempranillo

It is excellent with lamb, pork, tapas, grilled meats and aged cheeses, offering styles from fresh and juicy to complex, mature and ageworthy.
