Poças 10 Years Old Tawny is a classic aged tawny from the Douro, blended from different lots matured for many years in seasoned oak. The nose opens with dried fruits, raisins and figs, joined by hints of toasted nuts, caramel and gentle wood. On the palate it is rich yet balanced, showing flavours of dried plum, toffee, roasted almond and a touch of baking spice. A lively line of acidity keeps the sweetness in check and adds lift. The finish is long and warming, echoing dried fruits and subtle nutty notes. Enjoy slightly chilled with cheeses, pastries or simply on its own in the evening.
