This dry Burgenland red brings together Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir in a broad, structured cuvée. Its deep violet colour is edged with ruby, while the nose is driven by generous ripe fruit. Caramel tones and roasted oak add warmth and complexity without obscuring the bold profile. Twelve months in new American barriques build pronounced oak character and powerful tannins. From Scheiblhofer in Andau, it reflects a house style centred on ripe, full-bodied reds. It is especially well suited to dark meats, game and richly flavoured sauces. The producer recommends decanting before serving to let its layered character open up.
