Vigne di Catullo is the Lugana Riserva from Tenuta Roveglia, produced from old Turbiana vines close to the southern shores of Lake Garda. The wine spends an extended period on the lees and shows a deep golden colour in the glass. The bouquet is intense, with ripe yellow fruit, citrus, acacia honey and cool mineral notes, joined by hints of hazelnut and almond. On the palate Vigne di Catullo is full bodied, creamy and precise, with supporting acidity and a subtle saline edge. The texture is silky while the flavours are layered and persistent. This characterful Riserva is a fine match for refined fish dishes, shellfish, poultry, veal and mature cheeses.
Long ageing on fine lees in stainless steel tank gives this Lugana Riserva creamy depth, structure and mineral freshness.
